NPC DESCRIPTIONS

Annabelle 'Annie' Whitacre: [please request permission]
Max's daughter. A twelve-year-old bitten werewolf and 'pup' in Thibodaux's ranks, Annie can be found adventuring on The Path after school hours and on weekends, but is generally MIA a day or two before and after the full moon. Precocious, social, outspoken and clever, this is the pre-teen version of the 'Princess Darth Vader' girl. She's especially fond of fellow weres and shifters, but is wary of vampires and Saint Marie Coven members, in particular. She also frequents The Moirai to visit Elia, and leaves rainbow-colored hopscotch squares in Ursuline Square from games played with brownies and darklings.

'Aunt' Titi:
A small, immortal and totally fearless black cat said to contain the soul of the current Thibodaux children's three-generations great aunt Titania, who tricked a Djinn into making her familiar immortal at the cost of her own life after setting up a pathway for her life-force to be channeled into her cat. Sources differ on whether or not this story is actually true, but in either case, the damn cat has lived agelessly for over a century, and always bonds to one of the Thiboduax witches, currently Viola.

Dorian St. Remy:
The sommelier at The Vintage, the enchanted underground sanctuary and wine cellar of the Saint Marie Hostel. Poised, sophisticated and singularly well-equipped to excel at his job, Dorian is as knowledgable in wines as he is in other full-bodied crimson indulgences. He does not tolerate foolishness or inadequacy well; centuries of living have crafted him into something of a droll snob. In his off hours he inhabits private quarters specifically crafted into the cellar's back rooms, and is said to have been the very Vampire that first secured the alliance between the undead and the Saint Marie coven.

Erzulie 'Zee' Breaux:
No one knows exactly how old the matron of the Saint Marie Coven actually is. There are rumors that her youthful beauty is a facade for dark secrets and sacrifice, but Zee herself will neither confirm nor deny them. Though she's been proven a ruthless adversary, she takes on a sisterly, almost maternal bond with her Coven, both encouraging and tempering their ambition and hedonistic qualities with a steady, quiet brand of leadership and a mastery of voudun witchcraft that ensures none even so much as consider rising against her.

Etta-Grace Carver:
An esteemed lounge singer from the days when Le Chemin Noire had just opened its gates during early 1900s, Etta-Grace (Etta for short) is a force and one of the many spirits inhabiting The Path for whom death was not The End. Still bedecked in the finery she was buried in, Etta can most often be found gracing The Moirai, taking corporeal form to assist with managing the lobby when she's not helping to transition the more difficult spiritual guests invited in by medium readings.

Gordon Fairley:
The leader of the New Orleans Werewolf pack surprised and angered many with his decision to align with the Thibodaux Coven a year ago. Controversial long before that due to his violent overthrow of the Pack's previous Alpha, Gordon is not known for his progressive nature nor his love of magic users. However, he has proven a fair leader and excellent caretaker for his pack. Often at odds with the other leaders that make up his right and left hand respectively, he tends to lead with his gut and follow a 'bite first ask questions later' mentality when it comes to conflict.

Jeeves:
The result of a particularly haphazard seance nearly two decades ago, 'Jeeves' is the ghostly proprietor of La Porte. He will happily tell a supernatural audience what he remembers about his life in the 1800s. It's not much, but he loves to wax nostalgic as much as he enjoys entertaining guests. His moniker is a tongue-in-cheek nod to the pride he takes in his stewardship of the entrance to Le Chemin; he's dearly fond of New Orleans' supernatural community, but moreover, the magic of The Path sustains him and supports his ability to maintain corporeal form. While generally buoyant, cordial and accomodating, threaten The Path or approach with ill-intent, and he has been known to turn sinister.

Kyle Astor:
Formerly affiliated with the Summer Courts, Kyle was once tasked with spying on and enchanting Grayson Brisk in order for the courts to observe and harness his connection to the Void. Since released from his former occupation, Kyle now spends much of his time trying to atone for his previous transgressions and prove himself a loyal friend, mostly by way of explicit (and wholly unwelcome) gift-giving and bribery. A worrisome, bumbling sort with a penchant for jazz-hands and fretting, Kyle is mostly harmless now, opting to spend much of his time on the Path in glamor to keep his identitiy secret.

Lloyd the Birdbath Demon:
The last safeguard between La Porte and Le Chemin Noir, Lloyd is an omniscient legion of tiny demons that appear whenever the water of its fountain are disturbed. Cryptic and weirdly fashionable, Lloyd is almost always willing to trade information or rumors gleamed from its advantageous position in exchange for trinkets it can add its near-endless variety of tiny accoutrements (thimbles, spools of thread, crane-machine toys and buttons rank high on its list of prioritized items).

Nanette Bergeron:
The Lafitte Coven prides itself on exceptionality and militant control, mindsets that directly stem from their no-nonsense Matron "Nan" Bergeron. Though at first glance she presents like a kindly grandmother from a children's story, her snack-serving, lemonade-squeezing cheer masks a cutthroat sense of competition and a sharp, dangerous cunning.

Roger: [no permission necessary]
Grayson Brisk's familiar, the result of his first successful summoning. Though fox-like in appearance, the seafoam fennec is actually a creature called a Carbuncle, capable of teleportation, magic channeling, and temporary pocket-storage via the crimson gem set between its brows. In what he considers a fine use of his talents, Roger is devious and prone to stealing shiny things. He spends much of his day away from his warlock trying to pilfer treasures off the Path where he can; Watch your pockets.

Samson Landry:
Associated with the original Thibodaux family by adoption three generations back, the Landries pride themselves on their exceptional alchemy skills and a family gumbo recipe that will blow your lid. Samson Landry's is a name many in the Bayou know well. Cantankerous and Creole through and through, Samson was elected into his position by the Coven due to his direct and knowledgeable approach to conflict and magic as well as his unifying stance among the swamp families. If asked, he'll admit he doesn't think much of leadership overall, but he's nonetheless been able to secure both territory and outside allegiance in the year superseding the Fae's abandonment.

Snap, Crackle & Pop:
A trio of kobold brothers glamoured to look like common raccoons, these mischief makers have taken up employment as the Path's resident troubadours. Scarcely seen without their very human-sized instruments (a trombone, tuba, and trumpet respectively), they none the less manage to entangle themselves in all manner of trouble, specifically when it comes to sabotaging the great clocktower at the center of Le Chemin. The trio can often be seen trying to infiltrate many of the shops by disguising themselves as a shambling, off-kilter man in a trench coat despite the fact that it doesn't fool anyone. They'll certainly argue their case, however.
